Torchwood got picked up for a fourth season. I have mixed emotions about that. cut for length and spoilers for COE )

I am excited about season 5 of Doctor Who. ^_^ I'm going to miss Ten (or more, Tennant) but I'm eager to see what Eleven is like. I already adore his clothing choices. TWEED! OMG! And a bowtie. *loves* Plus the new companion looks cute. I can't wait to see them in action. 8D

Another show I'm getting excited about is Stargate: Universe. I was very hesitant about the show at first, but now I think I'm going to enjoy it. After seeing the latest trailer, my mother said it reminded her a little of BSG. Which is true; it does have some similarities. And it will certainly be darker that the previous two Stargates. But while I couldn't watch BSG because it was just too damn depressing, I believe that SGU will retain some of its predecessors' sense of humor. In smaller quantities certainly, but there nonetheless. At least, BSG trailers never made me laugh. But Universe is really starting to appeal to me, so October 2nd is being marked on my calendar.

So is November 17th. I have never been so excited for a DVD release before. And it's the first time I've ever wished we had a Blu-Ray player. But the bloopers and deleted scenes are on the regular DVD release. That's all that really matters to me. There are alternate ways to see all the extra featurettes that the Blu-Ray has--like watching them with a friend who has a Blu-Ray player. ;) *is so excited* November is way too far away.

After really enjoying the first two episodes (I so missed my wonderfully cracky show), I have only one thing to say about this week's episode of Robin Hood:

They should NEVER do another episode without Guy of Gisborne. EVER. PERIOD. And they should probably stay away from serious topics like religion. It doesn't fit in so well with the crackiness. And they should never do another episode with Guy. Seriously.

Thank God Allan is still so freaking wonderful because...yeah...never again.

But on a happier note, the Doctor Who special was so much fun! SPOILERS ) Yeah, and that's all I have to say about that.

Now when the hell are we going to get our Torchwood!?

2. Toshiko Sato
3. Dana Scully
4. Teyla Emmagan
5. B'Elanna Torres
6. Janet Fraiser

I quite liked it. It wasn't the OMG!EPICAWESOMESAUSE! that was The Stolen Earth, but it still had awesome written all over it, despite certain things. Things I really loved about it: Obviously, there are spoilers behind this cut. )

But all in all, this episode was great, IMO. I'd give it a 8.5/10.

I just watched the first two episodes of In Plain Sight today and I just have to say that I absolutely love Mary. She's is my freakin hero. ^_^ And in Doctor Who, despite finding River Song a little annoying in SITL, I loved her in yesterday's episode. She rocked my socks. I would say more about both these women but I'm a little drunk and can't think entirely straight right now. So that's all. Goodnight.

What a creepy episode! My sister is totally freaking out. My mother and I have both already made her scream twice. She's such a wuss. At least when it comes to the dark. Anyway, good episode, even if it is an evil two-parter. Donna Noble has left the library. Donna Noble has been saved. Jellyman, Offspring. Offspring, Jellyman. Lol. Sorry. Left over joke from earlier today. Anyway, that one chick is really annoying--the one who knows the Doctor. She gets on my nerves. I really hope she's not some future lover. Uck!

Sometimes I surprise myself. Like the moment I realize that despite my die-hard shipping Doctor/Rose in which there will never be another for the Doctor after Rose mentality, I ship Doctor/Donna. *blinks* I guess never didn't last too long.

Wow! What a difference between Torchwood and Doctor Who. One has me bawling; the other giggling like a school-girl. ^_^ This is going to be a great season of Doctor Who! *squees*

John Barrowman is like my favorite person at the moment. And I haven't even seen Torchwood yet. Why haven't I seen Torchwood yet. Oh yeah, that's right, because the Season 1 DVD is too expensive and there's a long wait on NetFlix for it. Damn. I hate my life. *goes to console herself by watching Doctor Who*

Damn, why don't I have a Doctor Who icon? I suck at life. I don't have a Doctor Who icon. I should be flogged.

Wow! It's been a long while since I last posted. RL has been keeping me busy and when I do have free time I try to avoid Stargate-related stuff on the internet to avoid spoilers. Been doing pretty good, only heard one or two things (though I did hear one spoiler that has me reeling). Can't begin to say how excited I am about the new season. September 28! SQUEE!

In the meantime, I've fallen in love with Dr. Who. Spent the past two nights watching all of Season 2 (and I'm embarrassed to admit how much I cried at the end of the season). I still have several Season 1 episodes to catch up on, but in the meantime, I'm watching Season 3.

I'll probably be popping my head back in here a bit more. You might get a couple Dr. Who rants, but also my thoughts and hopes for the upcoming season of Atlantis.

...like anyone really reads this...
